ABOUT SHORTMAN STUDIOS
I’m Daniel Shvartsman, the founder of Shortman Studios. For the past two and a half years, I have been running the podcast efforts for Seeking Alpha, the leading website for stock market news and analysis. We launched eight podcasts over that time, which collectively received millions of downloads. Each show achieved over 4000 weekly average listeners, our top show had over one million downloads in my last month, and we had over 200K unique monthly listeners by the time I left the company.
Our podcasts ranged from newscasts to interview shows to essays to conversational podcasts. As we developed these, I also studied the best practices in the industry for everything from developing a podcast to recording to editing and distributing. I’ve grown to love podcasting and understand both its potential and the mistakes to avoid.
Shortman Studios is both a production studio and a podcast editing/production service. The editing and production service is designed to help you access this world and connect with listeners on a more direct and intimate basis. You might be running a business and want to reach your audience in another way, or you might be a storyteller with a great idea to share. We can help you get that idea on the air and into listener’s headphones, without you needing to start from zero or needing to learn all the aspects of producing high quality audio.
I was born in the Boston, Massachusetts area and live in Valencia, Spain, with my wife and two cats. I have worked in online media in one form or another for more than 15 years. I love literature, travel, investing, music, languages and listening to people. And, per the name of the company, I am 5’3” (1.6 meters) and have had the nickname Shortman since college.
